FROM
SWEET TO GRITTY in moments, INGRID is the girl next door, both
sensual and untouchable in her debut album, Sweet Forgiveness.
Achingly pure Celtic vocals blend with sultry jazz and funky
blues to create a vulnerable new sound in the vein of Norah
Jones, Alicia Keys, and Sarah MacLachlan to name a few. And she
is beautiful—at 5’11’’ with blue eyes and blond hair you’d come
see her even if she sucked. Which she doesn’t. Not by a long
shot—this talent is amazing. A Southern transplant raised in New
York, INGRID never received formal training but delivers on both
vocals and keyboards in a folk style heavily influenced by muddy
water blues and gospel. She began to play in a local piano bar
at age 15 and has fronted R&B, pop, rock and jazz bands, singing
favorites while developing her own style. She now plays at
coffee shops and clubs, book stores, churches, high schools and
universities---but please, NO REQUESTS! If you don’t know the
words to every one of her songs, get her album immediately—it
will blow you away.
